END OF THE FIRST CI.CLO OF THE PORTO PHOTOGRAPHY BIENNIAL

On July 2, the programming cycle proposed by Ci.CLO Bienal Fotografia do Porto 2019 ended. From May 16th to July 2nd, Ci.CLO Bienal’19 proposed a multidisciplinary program, involving 11 curators and 53 artists who exhibited projects 16 spaces in the city of Porto; a series of workshops guided by artists and educators; the launch of the first European Green Guide, Creative Responses to Sustainability – Portugal Green Guide 2019, a 6-day artistic residency in Paisagem Protegida Corno do Bico and a cycle of 3 performances, in partnership with Solilóquios.



As part of the collaboration between Ci.CLO 2019 and the Visual Spaces of Change (VSC) research project, a series of exhibitions were organized with the curatorship of Pedro Leão Neto, with a view to stimulating critical thinking on the themes of Architecture, City and Territory through the holding of exhibitions of Contemporary Photography in public spaces and collective use located in the Metropolitan Area of Porto. Also during the Ci.CLO period, the book “Um outro olhar sobre Obras de Álvaro Siza Vieira” (Another Look at the Works of Álvaro Siza Vieira) was launched at the Order of Architects Northern Regional Section (OASRN).

The VSC project was on display in the subway stations of Avenida dos Aliados and São Bento, in the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library and in the Order of Architects Northern Regional Section (OASRN). Until the end of August it is possible to visit the VSC exhibition at OASRN.
