The aim of CAAD-F I / FAUP, which is a 1st Semester 3rd year course in the first-cycle, is to develop theoretical and practical bases related to the universe of communication strategies for the design of architecture in an early stage of development (territory analysis, communication, concepts, schemes, site plans and volumes).

The focus is to use graphic design, photography and image synthesis software applied for communicating and image architecture with a special incidence in the early stages of the design process.

The working strategy adopted in practical classes guides students to develop in parallel individual and collective communication exercises of design and photography, being the territory of study a public space or architectural program located in Greater Porto.
